Registered the death of his father

The Argus (Melbourne) 17 Sept 1918
Blackmore - Mr & Mrs Alexander Blackmore, of Maldon, have been officially notified that their son, Lance Corporal Albert Henry Blackmore was killed in action in France on September 1. He enlisted in July 1915 when 21 years of age. He won the Military Medal. Less than two months ago he was severely gassed.

Maldon Cemetery records - dates appear to be the date the death was registered
- I believe John Alexander and John (his father) are both buried here. The transcribed information is probably confused over the two Johns
