The Argus (Melbourne) 17 Sept 1918 Blackmore - Mr & Mrs Alexander Blackmore, of Maldon, have been officially notified that their son, Lance Corporal Albert Henry Blackmore was killed in action in France on September 1. He enlisted in July 1915 when 21 years of age. He won the Military Medal. Less than two months ago he was severely gassed.
