From the OPC for Chittlehampton - "transcipt of marriages for Chittlehampton lists 4 May 1823 - Thomas BLACKMORE, of this parish, married Elizabeth RICE, of this parish. There is only one child shown in the baptism register 20 jul 1823 William son of Thomas & Elizabeth BLACKMORE, labourer, Chittlehamholt . Chittlehamholt, although now a separate parish, was part of Chittlehampton until the 1850s. It is about four miles from the village of Chittlehampton, and bordering on the parish of Burrington."
