Thomas Blackmore of this parish and Elizabeth Rice of this parish
were married in this church by Banns this Fourth day of May in the Year one thousand eight hundred and twenty three by me Robert Chichester Vicar.
This marriage was solemnized between us - Thomas Blackmore and the mark X of Elizabeth Rice
In the presence of - Wm Teage, William Camp
- Messrs Teage and Camp were witnesses of many marriages

There is only one child shown in the baptism register
20 Jul 1823 William son of Thomas & Elizabeth BLACKMORE, labourer, Chittlehamholt . Chittlehamholt, although now a separate parish, was part of Chittlehampton until the 1850s. It is about four miles from the village of Chittlehampton, and bordering on the parish of Burrington."
- The two pieces of information taken together appear to be proof that this is the correct family

The informant was Grace Blackmore, present at the death, Burrington on eleventh March 1872
- Grace is Thomas' first cousin, the daughter of James Blackmore

Thomas and Elizabeth are buried in the small cemetery at the old Brethren Chapel in Burrington (Leachland). The inscription is
