bullet  General Notes:

The only evidence for a child Betsy is in a family tree generated in 1888 by Albert and James S Blackmore after their families had emigrated to USA. They state that Thomas (B 1801) had three brothers and a sister - Betsy, James, John and Richard.

My research has found two siblings called Mary (one died as an infant) as well as James, John and Richard.

However, there is a 5 year gap between the marriage of their parents in Ashreigney and the baptism of the first Mary in Burrington. An ample gap for there to be other children.

The only possible entry on the IGI is
Blackmore, British Isles Father: George , Mother: Elizabeth Exact Spelling: Off Batch Number: C052271
International Genealogical Index / British Isles - 2
1. ELIZABETH BLACKMORE - International Genealogical Index Gender: Female Christening: 29 JAN 1783 Newton Saint Petrock, Devon, England
2. JOHN BLACKMORE - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Christening: 27 DEC 1784 Newton Saint Petrock, Devon, England
This is some 20 miles south west of Burrington, but the names and dates could well fit.
Also there is a burial in Burrington in 1785 of a John Blackmore (no John was baptised there before this date)
- George was described as "of Newton St Petrock" when he married Elizabeth Carter
