From Holy Trinity Churchyard, Ilfracombe MIs (info from Ilfracombe Museum). Because of the state of the churchyard it was not possible to see the gravestone in 2004, even though I got to within a few feet of its position). The grave location is D40
Clearance work has now been carried out and a photograph of the grave was supplied by Ilfracombe Museum. I visited the grave in February 2007 and the inscription etc is as previously described.

Memorial Inscription
In Loving Memory
Elizabeth Ellen, the dearly beloved daughter of
William and Ann Blackmore
who fell asleep in Jesus November 10th 1899
aged 32 years.
"Him that cometh unto me I will
in no wise cast out"
Also
William Blackmore
father of the above
who died
May 17th 1920 aged 94 years
and
Ann Blackmore
his beloved wife
who died
December 17th 1876 aged 45 years.

William was buried 20th May. (previously living at 15, Westbourne Avenue, Ilfracombe).
No details on burial date of Elizabeth. Ann is not buried there - she was buried in Fremington churchyard on 21 Dec 1876.

Ann is buried at Fremington Church. The headstone says
SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF ANN BLACKMORE
THE BELOVED WIFE OF WILLIAM BLACKMORE JUNR
WHO DEPARTED THIS LIFE DEC 17 1876
AGED 45 YEARS .. MONTHS
For to me to live is Christ,
But to die is gain. Phil 1:21
- I have been informed that Ann's daughter, Eliza Ann Thorne, is buried in the same grave. This was told to my cousin by his mother who was present at the funeral

The next grave is of William and Ann Blackmore (nee Arnold) - William's parents

Descendants of William Henry Blackmore have a photo (see Eliza Ann Blackmore) that states it was William Blackmore's wife - Ann Guard. This seems to have come from a birth certificate obtained for the wrong William Henry (birth in same quarter, but in Tiverton - father William mother Ann nee Guard)
