General Notes:
The most likely candidate for William, father of Ann Baptism at Tawstock Will'm son of Archelos Ackl'd Muxworthy and Mary his wife was born the 13th October and baptised the 29th 1784
However Archelos and Mary had a second son called Wiliam in 1791 and there is a burial in 1788 of a William Muxworthy. Is it possible that our William was the younger son? Burial at Tawstock, 1788 May the 8th William Muxworthy
Marriage certificate (Feb 1851) of Ann Muxworthy gives father's name as William. But mother is a widow on 1851 Census. Also William is not a witness at daughter's marriage, nor does he appear on the 1841 census. So presumably had already died
There were 2 William's on Baptism records for Fremington - 1766 and 1768 which possibly explained early death. However, neither are likely to be correct as I have now found a suitable burial in 1837 at age 55, therefore a birth around 1782.

NB there was also a marriage in 1829 of a William Muxworthy and Ann Puddicombe (not this family, as Molland name crops up on other documents) - this is the William & Ann who later ran the Barnstaple Union Workhouse - they are also in Fremington (age 35) on the 1841 census (indexed as Museworthy and next to a Puddicombe family) as well as Ann nee Molland. The other Muxworthy family had an 8 year old son William in 1841. There is a death in 1881 of William Puddicombe Muxworthy aged 48. William, the Workhouse master, died in Jan 1883 and is buried in Fremington (as per info on his gravestone)
