Maker: Darge Photographic Company Place made: Broadmeadows (Vic) Date made: c September 1915 Physical description: Black & white Summary: Studio portrait of 209 Staff Sergeant (Sgt) James Clive Blackmore, B Company, 5th Battalion, of Windsor, Vic. Prior to his enlistment on 17 August 1914 in the AIF he served with the 49th Battalion, Citizens Military Forces. Sgt Blackmore embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Orvieto on 21 October 1914. Sgt Blackmore returned to Australia wounded and re-enlisted on 17 June 1915. He joined the 9th Reinforcements, 8th Battalion and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Makarini on 15 September 1915. He returned to Australia on 19 December 1918 as a member of the 58th Battalion. Copyright: clear
