The age column just had "both of full age" - Mary Ann was only 20 in reality!
Witnesses were Charles Walton and Isabella Jones
This was the first time that the name Mary Ann had been seen. It opened up more questions as the details didn't match Jemima in any way - until it was found that Edward was a widower when he married Jemima much later and that he had previously married Jemima's sister, Mary Ann. But their father was James, not Edward. Reason for saying that Mary Ann was the sister of Jemima was that Mary Ann's death was registered by Jane Carter (mother of Jemima)

It now appears that Edward Costin married Mary Ann Carter and she died soon after. Edward then set up home with Jemima Carter who was the mother of their son Edward. He married Jemima a few years later
