LORNE ALYN BUTTERFIELD 1927 \endash 2010 Retired Professional Engineer Former Senior Manager at IBM Peacefully and humourously surrounded by his family on Thursday April 15, 2010 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Beloved husband of Gerry L. (nee Dyer) for 58 years. Loving father of Douglas Alyn (Annette) of Courtice and Gordon Edward (Renate) of Victoria, BC. Adored grandfather of Elizabeth (Martyn Woodrow), Christopher, Patricia, Catherine, Matthew & Michelle. Cherished great-grandfather of Annabelle & Andrew Woodrow. He will be missed by many friends and relatives throughout Canada, United States and the United Kingdom. Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville, on Sunday April 18th, 2010 from 7 \endash 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday April 19th, 2010 at 11 am. Interment Bethesda Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, at Lorne's request, Memorial Donations may be made to Tyrone United Church.
