*** These Coston entries are between Costigan and Costlow. There is another Coston entry lower down. So I believe that the GRO re-typed pages on the index have a transcription error and that the name should be COSTIN.(see new indexes below)

Edward Costin, Male, 56 years, Journeyman Carpenter, Heart Failure. Certificate received from coroner after inquest on 29 August 1908. Registered on 31 Aug 1908.
He was in the area working on the building of the Midland Railway and was out for a drink and dropped dead at The Butchers Arms, Sheepridge.
There is a report in the local paper of the inquest, saying he was known as "Tasker Teddy" and had no fixed abode. He had previously been working in Wales. He walked to the pub with a friend he had known 30 odd years ago and just met again. It was a very steep hill to the pub and he said he wouldn't have come if he'd known it was so steep. After eating a little and asking for a drink he collapsed and died

1861 census - RG9/272 F134 P30 CD ends at this point and is in Wageners Building. The last entry visible (see copy sent from S&N which was more readable) is
29 Wageners Buildings, Gowers Walk, Whitechapel
Jane Carter, Head, W, 42, Boot Binder, Surrey Godstone
Jemima Costin, Daur, W, 24, do do, Surrey Godstone
William Carter, Son, , 10, Scholar, Kent Bromley
Edward Costin, Son in Law, , 7, Scholar, Middlesex Islington
This does not appear to be the end of the household and there should be a further 6 pages of RG9/272 (TNA confirmed that the remaining pages are permanently lost)
Edward Costin is correctly indexed on Ancestry.com - and this again shows it as the final page on the Piece
