Deaths Sep 1908 COSTIN Edward 56 Huddersfield 9a 193 28 August 1908 at Butchers Arms, Sheepridge, Huddersfield Edward Costin, Male, 56 years, Journeyman Carpenter, Heart Failure. Certificate received from coroner after inquest on 29 August 1908. Registered on 31 Aug 1908. He was in the area working on the building of the Midland Railway and was out for a drink and dropped dead at The Butchers Arms, Sheepridge. There is a report in the local paper of the inquest, saying he was known as "Tasker Teddy" and had no fixed abode. He had previously been working in Wales. He walked to the pub with a friend he had known 30 odd years ago and just met again. It was a very steep hill to the pub and he said he wouldn't have come if he'd known it was so steep. After eating a little and asking for a drink he collapsed and died
