1841 census There are two John Andrew(s) in Woolfardisworthy and none in Clovelly. 1) John aged 15 at "Dipple", Woolfardisworthy - still at Dipple in 1851, with his mother 2) John aged 17 at Walland Farm, Woolfardisworthy. Note - Walland Farm was rented by Christian Andrew from James Ley Smith according to the Tithe Apportionment list. It comprised some 62 fields used for arable, pasture, timber, a fir plantation, mowhay(?) and waste as well as the house and court. The farm was for sale in 2006, "for the first time in 100 years" at £850,000.
