"It is with deep regret we have to announce the sad death of
Mr.Sampson Wilton, of the Village, South Petherwin, which occurred very
suddenly yesterday (Thursday) morning, following a seizure. Deceased was
a well-known and most highly respected inhabitant, having carried on a
very successful business for over half a century at Souh Petherwin of
shoeing and general blacksmithing. The deceased was approaching his 75th.
year in age. The sad loss will be keenly felt by his sorrowing widow and
family, as well as the large circle of friends and acquaintances within
his business and social circle.
The funeral takes place at the South Petherwin Wesleyan Church on
Sunday."
