In the name of God, Amen. The seventeenth day of May in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and seventy four. I Thomas Wilton of the parish of Lower St.Columb or St.Columb Minor, in the County of Cornwall; Being weak in body but of sound and perfect memory, blessed be God for the same. And knowing the uncertainty of this life on earth and being anxious to settle things in order, before my Decease; Do make this my last will and testament in manor and form following. And first and principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it; And my body to the Earth from whence it was taken to be buried in a decent Christian like manner; at the expense and discretion of my executor hereafter named. And as touching my worldly affairs in God`s he as the lord in his mercy hath sent me. My will and meaning is that the same shall be employed and bestowed as hereafter by this my will is expressed. And first I do revoke and renounce, frustrate, disannul and make void all wills and wills legacies and bequests by me formerly made and declare and appoint it and no other to be my last will and testament. Imprimus I give and bequest to my son William Wilton one shilling to be paid to him on demand after my decease. Item. I give to my daughter Elizabeth Solomon twenty shillings to be paid to her in sixth months after my decease. Item I give to my daughter Mary Wilton twenty shillings to be paid when she is full sixteen years of age. Item. I give to my son Thomas Wilton twenty shillings to be paid to him when he is in age and twenty shillings to my son John Wilton when he is in age. And to my beloved wife Charity Wilton I give and bequest all my other goods and chattel, Rights of credit, dues and demands to be by her freely and quietly possessed and enjoyed without denial or molestation and her do I constitute ordain and appoint to be my executrix of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and year above written. Signed, sealed announced and declared by the said testator Thomas Wilton as and for his last will and testament in the presence of Richard Peals and this sign Clazinda Rundle.
