Note that Uncle Jim was also James Adamson Best. I have a postcard to him from "Sapper R Adamson" - could this mean that this James' mother was called Adamson? No, but a Sarah Baker married a James Adamson at Littleham on 24 Dec 1788. Could this be Ann's mother or aunt? Sarah Adamson died in Littleham in 1828
