The assumption was that there were two Benjamin Beckett Howell's - father and son. This was because a) Christening of Sarah Ann Howell gives father's name as Benjamin Beckett Howell Jr, suggesting that there was a Snr as well b) Two burials at St Marys, Southampton in 1830s, one aged 40 the other 71 Confirmed from baptism of Benjamin Beckett junior
