Maldon- Mrs Elizabeth Blackmore, 84, widow of the late Mr Charles William Blackmore, has died. Mrs Blackmore was born at sea on the way out from England to Australia and was brought to Maldon by her parents when only six weeks of age. She had lived in the township ever since.

1855 - 1860 Scattered papers; Morning Glory (Ship)
Papers of ship MORNING GLORY, of Portsmouth, N.H. Hiram H. Hobbs master, including correspondence, disbursements, charters, Lloyd's inspection, bottomry bonds, repair bill, bills of lading, average bond, and loss inventory
- The document(51 pages) states that the ship (Master H H Hobbs) was 1114 tons and a large bond was placed on it in USA in 1859. Her draft was 21ft 6in. Some pages relate to the voyage to Australia in 1857

Grave at Maldon Cemetery - dates are when death registered
The first is that of Charles and Elizabeth (Elizabeth was born on the Morning Star in mid-atlantic) I don't know where Arthur Baker fits in. The grave is neatly surrounded with a low granite wall with the name as described.

Section H, Comp 202, No 884. 12 X 8' Granite surround with concrete top & chips with the following wording. BLACKMORE.
