Apparently Emma's marriage certificate states that she was the daughter of Samuel Cook

There is a Samuel Cook, widower, aged 43 in Cartworth in 1861 with son Joe.
In 1851 he is in Wooldale with wife Mary, son Joe and son Albert.

The only deaths for Mary in Huddersfield district I've found so far are in Jun 1851, Sep 1856 and Mar 1859 (Mary Ann)
