  General Notes:

Identified from baptism of daughter Grace - on Parish records.

It had been unclear as to whether the name was Bendle or Rendle. The registers for children's baptism and the burials of William and Grace are slightly ambiguous because the style of writing could be a B or an R. But the IGI entry for their marriage states Rendle (as does the IGI for children). The only entry showing Bendle is the marriage of daughter Grace - and this entry, along with all others, was written at a later date - probably transcribed at the end of the year from a draft, or from separate notes. Now deciphered the entry and it does say Rendle.

- nb the next entry was a marriage in May!
