Hi, I am related to a Noah Woodcock from the Holmfirth area and as Noah was not a common name then, I suspect we might be related. In my family tree I have a Noah Woodcock born around 1806 in the Kirkburton area. I thought this might have been the father of "your" Noah but I see from the 1851 census that his parents were Richard and Mary. If you know who Richard's parents were, we might be able to work out if there is a link. "My" Noah had a younger brother called Nigh who was my g-g-g grandfather. Nigh and Noah's parents were Benjamin and Betty Woodcock who were born around 1780 in the Penistone area.
Cheers,
Richard married Mary GOLDTHORP on 14 Mar 1835 in Holmfirth, Yorkshire, England. (Mary GOLDTHORP was born in 1816 in Denby, Penistone, Yorkshire, England and died on 5 Feb 1911.)
