Apparently the original registers has a baptism in 1749 of a John Row, son of John and Susan. Needs further investigation, but appears quite likely to be the correct John.
- can't find the 1749 baptism
Another tree gives a baptism for John, at Topsham, of 7 Apr 1720
- son of John and Joan (Findmypast gives surname as Rower, but actually Rowe and a blot)
Not the same John Row - the register described him as "of Charles, Plymouth - Mason)
