Death Registered in Alderbury Mar 1885 5a p153 aged 59 at Laverstock Asylum (Alderbury). stated as wife of ___ Howell, a Surveyor, Southampton. Hence correct person.

Couple of possible entries for 1841. The most likely is the one below (the others are part of a Miller family, other than George and Elizabeth)

We have checked the admission registers for Eliza Amelia Howell and have found the following information :-
Ref A1/560/9
She was admitted May 8th 1855 and discharged on April 23rd 1856. Eliza was then admitted again on Jan 5th 1859, but died there on Mar 15th 1885. No case notes have survived
Admission Records state
648 Eliza Amelia Howell aged 29 admitted 8 May 1855. A resident of Southampton, married. Certificates were dated 4 May (James Richardson Ware) and 5 May (Henry Cusantey). She was sent by Edwin Thos Howell, husband. No entry in the "pauper" column, so presumably a private patient. She was discharged as recovered on 23 April 1856.
683 Eliza Amelia Howell aged 33 admitted 5 January 1859. A resident of Southampton, married. Certificates were dated 4 Jan (Charles Pardey and Henry Dusantoy). She was sent by Edwin Thos Howell, husband. No entry in the "pauper" column, so presumably a private patient. The remarks state "previously at this House". Died 15 March 1885.
(note that Frederick Walter Howell was born in 1858, while she was back at home)
